A chilling -44 that morning, off we go again! Our first stop: CKLB radio. The voice of the Deneh people, we meet the friendly staff that’s thrilled to have the couch set up right in the middle of their office. Tony gives his testimony, and we’re off to the next station: 100.3 FM Moose radio. Again, Peter and I carry the couch up a flight of stairs and set it up in their office for the staff to have a seat. Following Ela and Peter’s interview, we wrap up the show and head towards radio Taiga, the only francophone radio in the NWT. We meet Nicolas, Maxeance, Pascaline, Isodore, who are all members of the francophone community of the North. They share with us their experience on why they chose to live in Yellowknife, and reflect on what it means to live as a francophone in the NWT. What a good vibe from all. A quick break, and we go pick up Caribou Legs, the man who ran across Canada to raise awareness about missing and murdered aboriginal women. What a privilege it is to be around his presence, someone who reveals what speaks in your heart, following his testimony we invite him for dinner where he shares how he has come a long way and how running became his catharsis. What an inspiration and until we meet again…
