Canada’s 150 Red Couch Tour Launches its pan-Canadian Tour – VIP and Media Blitz on June 13th, Canadian Museum of Nature

OTTAWA, (June 13th, 2017)

On June 13th, the Red Couch team will launch its pan-Canadian tour at the Canadian Museum of Nature in Ottawa.

The Red Couch Tour is celebrating Canada’s 150th Anniversary by traveling from coast to coast to coast, inviting community members, from all walks of life, to sit on the couch and speak to what Canada means to them. After completing a very successful trip to Northern Canada and Labrador, the Red Couch is ready to continue its journey across Canada to collect stories from Canadians.

While giving a testimony from the red couch, every person will be filmed and a video clip of 1 minute will be posted through the social media channels. The Red Couch project will create an excellent opportunity for Canadians to share their most relevant stories.

Spanning sixty three days and 20 thousands kilometers on the road in an RV, the couch will visit every Province and Territory in Canada.

The Red Couch Tour is one of 38 signature Canada 150 projects selected by the Government of Canada to create opportunities for Canadians to celebrate and build a sense of pride and attachment to Canada.
